Joseph Pantone is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked with a wide variety of populations. He obtained his B.A. from Wagner College, where he was awarded the Psi Chi Award, and the Robert DeCsipkes Memorial Prize for outstanding clinical potential in the field of psychology.
He completed his M.A. in mental health counseling at the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University. As part of his graduate training, he completed a clinical internship at South Beach Psychiatric Center in Staten Island, NY, working in the psychiatric rehabilitation unit with inpatients diagnosed with various disorders and the MICA population.
In addition, Mr. Pantone has worked at Beacon of Hope House, an outpatient psychiatric residence for patients transitioning back into the community. He was further contracted by Employment Solutions, a division of the Wellness and Recovery Program at South Beach Psychiatric Hospital working as an employment specialist with psychiatric outpatients developing work-related goals, part of the rehabilitation model of wellness and recovery.
He currently administers biofeedback training sessions, facilitates cognitive rehabilitation sessions, and does individual counseling for adjustment disorders, panic disorders, and other anxiety-related conditions. He is a professional member of the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation.
