Dr. Greco is a licensed psychologist, as well as a clinical neuropsychologist practicing in NJ. Dr. Greco treats a variety of neuropsychological conditions, such as, the spectrum of traumatic brain injury, dementias, cerebral tumors, CVAs, demyelinating diseases, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc. Treatment includes assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of the above neuropsychological conditions.
Dr. Greco graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Monmouth University. Upon graduation, Dr. Greco completed a Master’s degree in Psychological Studies at Seton Hall University. He then pursued his doctoral training in counseling psychology at Seton Hall University accredited by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Greco graduated with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, Summa Cum Laude. He completed three clinical rotations at the predoctoral level.
The first clinical rotation consisted of working with elementary age children with learning disabilities, mood disorders, and anxiety. He functioned as an individual and group counselor. In addition, Dr. Greco completed a neuropsychology rotation with the older adult population. In this setting, he conducted comprehensive consultations, administered neuropsychological examinations, provided treatment in the form of cognitive rehabilitation and counseling for the patient and his/her family.
The second clinical rotation was completed at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ. Here, Dr. Greco worked as a neuropsychometrician in both the inpatient (acute brain conditions) as well as in the outpatient rehabilitation program. Dr. Greco examined a variety of neuropsychological conditions, including but not limited to, traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, and learning disability.
The third clinical rotation was completed at the Counseling Center at Seton Hall University. Here, Dr. Greco worked as a counselor and provided treatment for anxiety, depression, learning disability and posttraumatic stress.
Dr. Greco completed his one-year, pre-doctoral internship at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, approved by the American Psychological Association. At the hospital, Dr. Greco completed the following clinical rotations: outpatient counseling, psychological and neuropsychological outpatient assessments, crisis screening and placement, in-patient consultations and provided recommendations to psychiatry.
Upon completion of his doctoral degree, Dr. Greco completed a two-year post-doctorate in clinical neuropsychology at Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Services where he continues to work. Dr. Greco works with a variety of neuropsychological conditions. He administers neuropsychological tests as well as provides medical adjustment counseling for the patient and their family.
Dr. Greco has published and presented research papers on a national level and has been a guest speaker at numerous professional events. Some of the most recent presentations included: Sports Related Concussion Management, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Rehabilitation for brain tumor patients, Treatment for the Learning Disabled Child & Family, Overview of Neuropsychology and its application to various diagnostic groups.
