George Corradino has a Master’s degree in psychological counseling and is a licensed associate counselor. He obtained his B.A. and M.A. from Monmouth University where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, in which he held various fraternal positions including Vice-President.
He completed a clinical externship at Riverview Medical Center as part of their in-patient psychiatric unit on Lower Level One of the Jane Booker Pavilion working with various psychiatric conditions such as bipolar disorder, major depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders and MICA patients conducting intakes and facilitating therapy groups.
At Life-Span / Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Services he has training in individual mental health counseling, neuropsychological testing and currently provides biofeedback for a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, anxiety, pain conditions, ADHD and anger management.
In addition to testing and biofeedback he also works with patients suffering from a variety of head injuries, administering cognitive remediation focused upon rehabilitating impaired thinking skills such as memory, attention, concentration and reasoning. As a professional member of the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation he believes in the importance of proper, evidence based cognitive remediation and the integral part it plays in a multidisciplinary approach to recovery. Furthermore, Mr. Corradino is a certified brain injury specialist (CBIS) by the Brain Injury Association.
Lastly, Mr. Corradino is also responsible for collaborating with Dr. Sica and colleagues organizing seminars, conferences, and presentations throughout the year. He is very active in program development regarding new opportunities for LifeSpan – NRS in providing information through various public forums.
